Accessibility
HTI Glass & Construction wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, screen magnification or other assistive technology.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, which includes WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Before any change to this site is published, it is tested automatically for accessibility problems in several browsers at phone, tablet and desktop sizes, and the site is also reviewed by hand.
What this site does
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a link to skip straight to the main content.
- Photos that carry information have text descriptions; decorative photos are hidden from screen readers.
- Text and controls meet the WCAG colour contrast requirements.
- The moving photos on the home page can be paused, and they stay still if your device asks for reduced motion.
- Pages stay readable when zoomed to 400% or viewed on a small screen, without scrolling sideways.
